HOSPITAL AND CHURCH/SCHOOL VISIT

Today we arrived at the hospital and met a young man named Robinson.   He was in a motorcycle accident and had damage done to the bone in his leg.  He was unable to walk so they pursued Cure to have surgery to stabilize the bone.  He is currently wearing a brace with pins.  We enjoyed talking to Robinson and his mother who shared their love for the Lord.  We also interacted with other children at the hospital and handed out wooden hearts to remind them that Jesus heals the broken heart.

The team went grocery shopping for peanut butter and jelly, bread, juice, crackers and candy, to make lunches for the children at a local church we visited in the afternoon.

In the afternoon we visited a church and held a VBS.  We played with a parachute, colored art pages, decorated tongue depressor dolls, dance, sang and the children were happy, friendly and loving.

At the end of the day we came home to valentine goodies that Cure made up for us!  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

HOSPITAL, HOME VISIT AND SKYLINE VIEWS

We arrived at Cure hospital early in the morning and met with the spiritual director Jose for an orientation.  Paola and Eucrys were also there who are part of the spiritual life team.  We made bracelets, valentine and get well cards for the children recovering in the hospital ward which we will be distributing tomorrow after their surgeries.

Today was consultation day at the hospital.  The children came and met with the doctors to discuss the options regarding their orthopedic medical procedure.  As the families were waiting to be called, the team interacted with the children by playing with bubbles, face painting, nail polish, toys, match box cars and various other activities.

In the afternoon we visited a family with a son who was born with a deformity.  His name is Jonathon.  He has had two surgeries at Cure hospital and his mother Yolanda is hoping to see her son walk some day.  The team prayed with them both and sang a song to Jonathon.  His smiles brightened up the room and touched all of our hearts.  Please pray for Jonathon's healing!

In the evening we visited with Eliana, who is the owner of the Air BnB we will be staying at Friday and Saturday night.  She has a home that has a panoramic view of the ocean and city.  She was a gracious host and provided drinks and snacks for the team along with wonderful conversation.

BAPTIST CHURCH VISIT and ALTA GRACIA

Today we participated in Sunday school and worship at a local Baptist church.   There were Cure employees in attendance that assisted the team with translation.  The energy in the room was contagious and the love for the Lord was evident!  The church community was friendly, loving and greeted the team with hugs/kisses.

Coffee and social time between Sunday School and Worship

We were escorted today by Cure employees Jovani and Jorge.  Also, Maggie and Sam were our translators. We had lunch at an Italian restaurant and celebrated our driver Kelvin's birthday.  We also witnessed a wedding proposal!  Love is everywhere!
